Course Description
Safety
Management Systems Course will lay the framework for consistent safe
performance throughout airports systems, ground operations, airline processes.
This course provides an introduction to SMS elements and objectives that you
can establish within your operations.
You
will learn the key regulatory and safety requirements for designing and
controlling an efficient SMS; for identifying the processes, procedures, and
resources for the implementation of the safety policies; for understanding the
tasks, powers, and responsibilities of the staff; for establishing safety
conditions and at the same time evaluating the effectiveness of the system
itself in order to intervene to correct any deviations.
For
lower levels, the course will be adapted to acquire competencies to contribute
to implement a consistent SMS and to maintain the desired level of safety in
operations.
